About Tamale Ghana TML: Your Guide to the North

Hi, I’m Bukars, and welcome to my corner of the internet dedicated to the vibrant heart of Northern Ghana.

This isn’t just a travel blog; it’s a passion project born from a journey that took me through the region long before I ever picked up a camera or wrote a single post. I found that while many travel guides covered the beaches and history of Ghana’s south, the rich stories, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible warmth of the Northern Region were often overlooked. I wanted to change that, using the place I call home as my starting point.

My mission is simple: to be your most reliable and inspiring guide to Tamale and beyond. I want to help you move beyond the guidebooks and discover the authentic soul of the North — from the bustling energy of Tamale Central Market to the quiet majesty of Mole National Park, and everything in between.

More About Me

I am a Nurse by profession and a frontend web developer by hobby — a combination that shapes how I approach this site: with the same care and attention to detail I bring to patient care, and the same problem-solving mindset I bring to building websites.

My journey started far from Tamale. I was born in Kintampo South, and while I was still young, my family migrated to Northern Ghana, settling in a community called Wantugu in the Tolon District. It was there that I grew up immersed in the culture, language, and everyday life of the North long before I saw it as “content” for a blog. I later moved to Tamale in search of tertiary education and work, and the city has been my base ever since.
